Actor Dave Coulier, best known for his role in the beloved series “Full House,” recently provided an update on his health, sharing intimate details about his ongoing battle with cancer in a recent communication with Parade.
Coulier, who is 65 years old, was diagnosed with stage 3 non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in October 2024. His diagnosis came shortly after experiencing complications from a cold that resulted in a hospital visit.
Coping with Diagnosis
During his interview, Coulier reflected on the serious implications of his cancer diagnosis. He mentioned, “I think everybody’s mind goes there. It’s part of the reality of life,” acknowledging his family’s history with severe health issues.
His wife, Melissa, who faces her own health challenges with lupus, revealed the emotional toll these conversations had on their relationship. She recounted a moment when Coulier, after enduring several rounds of chemotherapy, expressed uncertainty about further treatment: “I’m prepared either way. If I die, I die. And if I can stay here, great. I want to.”
Treatment and Future Plans
Coulier mentioned that he completed his last rounds of chemotherapy in February but is awaiting results from a forthcoming test to ascertain whether he has defeated the disease. He expressed hope to celebrate this milestone by ringing the bell often regarded as a tribute to cancer survivors.
Additionally, the actor recently experienced joy on the family front, welcoming a grandson with his first wife, Jayne Modean, signaling a moment of complex emotions amid his health struggles.
A Closer Look at Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma
