The incident occurred on Thursday, March 20, at around 11:45 a.m. within a shopping center located at 845 White Plains Road in Soundview, Bronx. Authorities reported that four male suspects approached the victim under the guise of a lottery ticket scheme.

During the encounter, two of the individuals engaged the elderly woman in conversation, using a deceptive lottery ticket ruse to distract her. This allowed the group to make off with a significant amount of her jewelry.
