Recent Changes to Costco’s Food Court Offerings
Costco, known as the largest warehouse membership club globally, continues to evolve its food court menu while keeping beloved offerings intact.
New Additions to the Menu
In recent months, Costco has announced several new items and changes to its food court. These updates reflect the company’s commitment to enhancing customer experiences, while still maintaining traditional favorites.
Strawberry Banana Smoothie
Beginning in March, customers can enjoy a new strawberry banana smoothie, introduced during the second quarter of the year. This refreshing addition is already receiving positive feedback from patrons.
Return of the Turkey Provolone Sandwich
Another exciting update is the planned return of the turkey provolone sandwich in the third quarter. This fan-favorite item, previously removed from the menu, will again be available hot to customers, adding variety to the food offerings.
Shift to Coca-Cola Products
In a notable change for its beverage offerings, Costco plans to transition back to serving Coca-Cola products in its food courts. This strategic switch, slated for this summer, will revert the beverage supply from Pepsi products, which have been in use since 2013.
Recent Performance and Statistics
Costco’s food courts and ancillary businesses have shown robust sales performance. In fiscal 2024, the food courts alone sold an impressive 229 million hot dog and soda combinations. This success has contributed significantly to driving store visits.
At the end of the second quarter, Costco boasted a membership base of 140.6 million cardholders and reached a total of 900 warehouse locations globally, with 620 of these situated in the United States.
