Delta Air Lines Expands Shake Shack Offerings in 2025

ATLANTA – Delta Air Lines has announced an exciting expansion of its partnership with Shake Shack, bringing the popular burger brand to passengers flying from four additional U.S. cities starting in March 2025.

Expanded In-Flight Options

Initially introduced on select flights from Boston, Shake Shack cheeseburgers will now be available in First Class on routes departing from Atlanta, Los Angeles, New York-LaGuardia, and Seattle. This new offering, which became effective on March 4, enhances the in-flight dining experience for travelers.

Passengers will have the opportunity to customize their Shake Shack cheeseburgers with toppings such as fresh tomatoes, lettuce, and ShakeSauce, all served on the side. Each meal will also include chips, a Caesar salad, and a dark chocolate brownie.

Pre-Selection Convenience

Customers flying in First Class can pre-select a Shake Shack cheeseburger as their entrée for either lunch or dinner prior to their flight. This option can be adjusted up to 24 hours in advance via the Fly Delta app or through a link sent in their confirmation email.

Broader Culinary Enhancements

In addition to Shake Shack, Delta is refreshing its menu with new options, including Jon & Vinny’s braised meatballs. Previously limited to Los Angeles flights, these meatballs will soon be available on select First Class routes from various locations, including Anchorage and Austin. Further menu updates will also see the introduction of new red wine selections and Champagne Taittinger for international flights.

Travel Trends and Consumer Preferences

The anticipated increase in air travel for 2025 is supported by a report from the International Air Transport Association (IATA), which outlines a significant number of expected passengers. With inflation impacting consumer spending on essentials, travelers appear to be placing a priority on enriching experiences such as dining while in the air. Recent surveys indicate that over 70% of travelers consider in-flight meal quality crucial to their overall travel experience.

Exclusive Offer on Uber Eats

To celebrate this partnership expansion, Delta and Uber Eats are introducing a limited-time promotion: customers can purchase one ShackBurger and receive another for free. This offer is available to SkyMiles Members who join the Delta x Uber waitlist by March 6. The promotion runs through March 14, allowing members to enjoy Shake Shack meals outside of their flights as well.
