The Harlem Night Market made a grand return this evening, drawing record crowds to the historic neighborhood for a celebration of food, art, and music. Hosted at the iconic Malcolm Shabazz Harlem Market, the event featured dozens of local vendors, live performances, and interactive art installations.
This year’s market spotlighted Black-owned businesses and artisans, with a focus on products ranging from handmade jewelry to gourmet desserts. Food stalls offered an array of global cuisines, including Caribbean jerk chicken, Ethiopian injera, and classic soul food.
“This is more than a market—it’s a celebration of Harlem’s culture and creativity,” said organizer Aisha Wilson. “It’s a chance to support local businesses and bring the community together.”
Live performances by local musicians and spoken word artists kept the crowd entertained throughout the evening, with the highlight being a surprise appearance by Grammy-winning artist H.E.R., who performed an acoustic set. “Harlem has always been a hub of talent and innovation, and this event showcases that beautifully,” H.E.R. told the crowd.
The market is set to run every Friday night through September, with plans to expand next year due to growing demand.
