The shooting occurred around 5:30 PM in the vicinity of Olde Greenwich Circle. Upon arrival, law enforcement found six individuals who had been shot, leading to a chaotic scene in the normally quiet community.
During a press conference later that evening, Major Elizabeth Scott of the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office remarked, “I mean this is probably as bad as it can get with at least six people being shot right now. It’s been a stressful 24 hours.”
Victims and Community Response
Among the victims, three were pronounced dead at the scene, while the other three were transported to the hospital for treatment. The conditions of the injured victims remain unclear, and their ages have not been confirmed by officials.

A neighbor, identified as Rosy P, described her experience during the incident, stating, “I was coming down the hill. I was looking forward and I saw about three or four individuals and I heard it and I saw bullets going everywhere, they were kind of going at each other.”
Additionally, there’s footage from an eyewitness that captured two individuals appearing to carry long guns just before the area transformed into a crime scene. While this has been noted, the Sheriff’s Office has not confirmed any connection to the shooting at this time but is actively conducting interviews.
