CHICAGO, IL — The Chicago White Sox’s minor league system experienced a varied set of outcomes on June 13, 2025, with affiliates showcasing both promising talent and areas needing improvement.
Charlotte Knights Narrowly Defeated by Durham Bulls
The Triple-A Charlotte Knights suffered a close 6–5 loss to the Durham Bulls. After trailing early, the Knights mounted a comeback in the later innings. Adam Hackenberg’s two-run single in the seventh inning narrowed the deficit, and Zach DeLoach’s double in the eighth tied the game at 5–5. However, in the ninth inning, reliever Payton Pallette allowed a double followed by a walk-off single, handing the Knights a heartbreaking defeat. The Knights’ bullpen has faced challenges recently, with Pallette recording his second loss in as many appearances.
