Brooklyn’s Navy Yard is set to become a hub for innovation with the announcement of a new tech incubator focused on nurturing startups in emerging industries such as artificial intelligence, biotech, and renewable energy. The incubator, a partnership between the city and private investors, will provide office space, mentorship, and funding opportunities for early-stage companies.
“Brooklyn is already a leader in creativity and entrepreneurship. This incubator will take it to the next level,” said Mayor Eric Adams. The program is expected to support over 100 startups in its first three years, with a focus on promoting diversity in tech.
Local leaders have praised the initiative as a boost for the borough’s economy, which has increasingly positioned itself as a center for innovation. The incubator is scheduled to open in early 2025, with applications for startups opening later this year.
