BOSTON — State Street Corporation has rebranded its asset management division from State Street Global Advisors to State Street Investment Management, a strategic move aimed at accelerating growth and enhancing client engagement. Announced on June 30, 2025, the rebranding includes a new logo and aligns with the firm’s “One State Street” philosophy, promoting increased collaboration across its banking, trading, and investment services.

With $4.7 trillion in assets under management, State Street Investment Management is the fourth-largest asset manager globally. The firm is renowned for pioneering the first U.S.-listed exchange-traded fund (ETF) in 1993 and remains a leading provider in the ETF space.

CEO Yie-Hsin Hung emphasized that the brand refresh reflects the firm’s values, heritage, and future vision. “Our new brand underscores our mission of investing in our clients as they invest in the markets, delivering tailored solutions, and prioritizing partnerships,” Hung stated.

The rebranding comes amid broader industry trends, with financial firms like Legal & General and Abrdn restructuring or reverting brand changes to adapt to market pressures and fee competition.

Under Hung’s leadership, State Street has focused on expanding product offerings to gain market share from larger competitors such as BlackRock and Vanguard. In March, the firm launched a private credit ETF in collaboration with Apollo Global Management, providing retail investors with access to a diversified portfolio of private credit assets.

The rebranding and strategic initiatives reflect State Street’s commitment to innovation and client-centric solutions in a competitive asset management landscape.
