New York City announced a new Holiday Concert Series today, featuring free performances at Borough Halls in all five boroughs. The series, organized by the Department of Cultural Affairs and local arts organizations, aims to bring festive cheer to neighborhoods across the city.
Performances will include gospel choirs, jazz ensembles, and classical musicians, with programs tailored to highlight the cultural diversity of each borough. “This is a celebration of the incredible talent and spirit of our city,” said Cultural Affairs Commissioner Laurie Cumbo.
The series kicks off tomorrow in Brooklyn with a performance by the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir and will continue through December 23. Residents expressed enthusiasm for the initiative, praising its accessibility and community focus. “It’s wonderful to have these events close to home,” said Maria Sanchez, a Queens resident.
