The NYC Marathon Expo opened today at the Javits Center, drawing runners, fitness enthusiasts, and spectators ahead of the November 3 race. The three-day event features over 200 exhibitors showcasing the latest in sports technology, gear, and nutrition.

Participants lined up to collect their race bibs and attend workshops on marathon preparation, injury prevention, and mental resilience. Keynote speakers included world-class athletes like Eliud Kipchoge, who shared training tips and insights into the mindset of a champion.

“This expo is a celebration of the running community and all the hard work that goes into preparing for race day,” said Ted Metellus, Race Director of the NYC Marathon.

Vendors reported strong sales, with popular items including performance sneakers, hydration packs, and energy gels. Local businesses also benefited from the influx of visitors, as hotels and restaurants near the Javits Center saw increased bookings.

The expo is free and open to the public, making it a hub for fitness enthusiasts even if they aren’t running the race. Organizers expect over 100,000 attendees before the event wraps up on October 22.
